Kirsty Newton

Kirsty Newton is a multi-talented entertainer who performs around the world, both solo and with a huge variety of wonderful artists, wearing many different hats and showcasing her versatile musical skills. She’s a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, musical improviser, composer, musical director and arranger, compère, host and comedy performer – always happy to slip into whichever role is required.

A well-known face on the live music and comedy circuits, Kirsty regularly tours the UK and beyond with Paul Merton, party band festival favourites Massaoke, improvising legends The Comedy Store Players, and the spectacular touring show Sing The Musicals. Over the past couple of decades, she has appeared in hundreds of successful shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and beyond, with multiple award-winning comedians, including Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Phil Nichol, Rich Hall, Jess Robinson, Arthur Smith, Mitch Benn, Debra Stephenson, Jonny & The Baptists, Comedy Club 4 Kids, plus many more. She has played all over Europe, America, Australia and Japan and performed solo sets at The Glastonbury Festival. Kirsty is also the co-founder of all-female musical collective SistaJam, based in her hometown of Hebden Bridge.

Known as the "human jukebox", for her ability to play almost any song by ear on the spot, her unique, signature Kirsty's Poptastic Piano Singalong events have been selling out for over a decade, all over the UK and beyond. Expect unexpected mash-ups, surprise medleys, song-style swaps and a party atmosphere, as your host seamlessly plays your requests on the piano, all off the top of her head with no sheet music and no safety net…

Kirsty is usually accompanied by a small, fluffy, prodogée sidekick that thinks she's a human, called Addy, who is available for meets and greets (but only pre-approved treats) after the show.
