What’s On Hebden Bridge is not responsible for the conduct of any member on or off of the Service. You agree to use caution in all interactions with other members, especially if you decide to communicate off the Service or meet in person, such as attending an event.

Any data you submit for display on What’s On Hebden Bridge you are responsible for, including ensuring that the data is accurate, complete and up to date.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with organisations and events. You understand that What’s On Hebden Bridge does not conduct background checks on users or otherwise inquire into the background of users. What’s On Hebden Bridge makes no representations or warranties as to the content or safety of events and organisations listed on its service.

Community Rules

What’s On Hebden Bridge is dedicated to providing an inclusive, kind, welcoming, and harassment-free experience for everyone using the platform or going to events listed on it. We do not tolerate harassment of partners or site users in any form.

These community rules apply both the What’s On Hebden Bridge platform and our adjacent platforms, including emails and direct messages, both online and off. Anyone who violates the community rules may be sanctioned or expelled from these spaces at the discretion of the What’s On Hebden Bridge administrators.

What’s On Hebden Bridge is for promoting events. An event is defined as a physical or virtual planned occurrence with specific date(s), time(s), and place(s). Non-events include the selling and reselling of merchandise, commercial promotions, contests, gambling, raffles, gift cards, pyramid schemes and the solicitation of donations etc. not tied to a specific event. 

Prohibited topics for events on our platform, partner descriptions, and communication with the What’s On Hebden Bridge team include:

  • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, immigration status, religion, or other identity marker.
  • Unwelcome comments regarding a person's lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.
  • Deliberate misgendering or use of "dead" or rejected names.
  • Gratuitous or explicit sexual content including images in spaces where it is not appropriate.
  • Threats of violence or incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to engage in self-harm or to commit suicide.
  • Deliberate "outing" of any aspect of a person's identity without their consent except as necessary to protect vulnerable people from intentional abuse.
  • Microaggressions, which take the form of everyday jokes, put downs, and insults that spread humiliating feelings to people of marginalised groups.
  • Publication of non-harassing private information and communication.
  • Users appreciate well-written and well-presented content. Gratuitous off topic content, content that uses unnecessary swear words, excessive use of CAPITAL LETTERS with malicious or otherwise aggressive and unhelpful intent will be removed.
  • Exploitative or commercial non-event content including spam, junk, chain letters etc.
  • Content that contains URLs that are not directly relevant to the event in question.
  • The posting of material which is the copyright of a third party without expressed permission to do so. Users are entirely responsible for ensuring that any content they share does not infringe on copyright law.

Although What’s On Hebden Bridge reserves the right to review and remove Content that violates this Agreement without reason, such Content is the sole responsibility of the user who posts it, and What’s On Hebden Bridge cannot guarantee that all Content will comply with this Agreement. If you see Content on the Service that violates this Agreement, please report it by contacting us at info@whatsonhebdenbridge.com

Entire Agreement

This Agreement, which includes the Privacy Policy, contains the entire agreement between you and What’s On Hebden Bridge regarding the use of the Service. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of What’s On Hebden Bridge to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
