Cookie Policy
This policy explains every cookie used on whatsonhebdenbridge.com, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It does not cover other organisations' websites that we link to — they set their own cookies and have their own policies.
Your choice
We split cookies into two kinds:
- Essential cookies keep the website working — remembering that you are signed in, and protecting forms from misuse. We do not need your permission for these, and the website cannot work properly without them.
- Optional cookies tell us how the website is being used, so we can improve it. We only set these if you accept them.
If you have not made a choice yet, or you chose "Reject optional", no analytics cookies are set at all. If you visit the homepage without signing in, without accepting optional cookies and without answering our feedback question, this website stores nothing on your device whatsoever.
Changing your mind
Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. The banner will reappear and you can accept or reject optional cookies again. Your new choice takes effect immediately and replaces the old one.
You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. AboutCookies.org explains how to do that in each of the common browsers.
Essential cookies
These are always set. They carry no advertising identifier and are not shared with anyone.

The two Craft cookies are only set when you use the account area. Browsing the events listing does not create them.
Optional cookies
These are only set after you select "Accept all". They help us understand which pages and events people find useful. If you reject them, everything on the website still works.
Google Analytics
Loaded through Google Tag Manager. It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they are — not who they are.

Matomo
Website statistics, hosted in the European Union.

The * is a short code identifying this website. Matomo publishes the full list of cookies it can set.
Microsoft Clarity
Shows us anonymised recordings of how people move through pages, so we can find parts of the website that are confusing or broken.

Microsoft does not publish how long these last. Its cookie list is the authoritative description of what each one does.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not allow anyone to advertise to you based on your visit here.
- We do not sell or rent any information about you.
- We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.
Our own event statistics use no cookies at all. When an organiser looks at how many people viewed their listing, those numbers come from counts that are never tied to a person and never stored on your device. This is why organiser statistics keep working even if you reject optional cookies.
Cookies set by other websites
Some pages include content from elsewhere — maps, and video or audio that an organiser has embedded. That content can set its own cookies, which we do not control and cannot list here, because it depends on what an organiser has added to their listing.
Where we choose to include third party content, we look for a privacy-respecting option. Where an organiser has embedded something themselves, you may want to check that provider's own cookie policy.
