From regular services and opportunities for prayer and reflection, to festive celebrations and live performances, joining a community to practice faith and worship is a great way to foster your own spiritual growth, meet new people and support the wider community. Many venues also offer hire spaces, whether you’re looking to host a private event, run a faith-led workshop, youth activity or fundraise.
Historic sites like St. James the Great in Mytholm, St. Thomas the Apostle in Heptonstall, The Good Shepherd in Mytholmroyd, Blackshaw Head Chapel, and St. John the Baptist-in-the-Wilderness in Cragg Vale offer welcoming spaces for both traditional worship and inclusive community events. Groups such as Hebden Bridge Quakers and The Beacon Church meet in more secular premises, but equally provide opportunities for fellowship and reflection.
While HX7 doesn’t have dedicated venues representing the diversity of all faiths of the area, new groups, activities and events are continually emerging. We warmly welcome you to share and promote them here.
