The University Of Hebden Bridge: Watercolour Painting For Beginners

Join local artist and tutor Rachael Elwell at The Trades Club on Tuesday 24th Feb for a creative taster session introducing you to the wonderful medium of Watercolour Painting.

Rachael will guide you through a range of painting techniques on the night - brush marks, blending, depth, colour mixing and textures - giving you the confidence and ability to carry on painting on your own beyond the session.

You’ll also look at and discuss various inspiring examples of watercolour artwork that Rachael will bring along.

The workshop will start at 7pm and last around two hours. Absolute beginners are very welcome.

There is no charge for the workshop other than a fee of £3 per person towards the cost of materials, all of which will be provided on the night - paper, paints and use of essential painting tools.

Rachael is based in Todmorden, where she pursues her passion for drawing and painting at Robinwood Studios. She runs a number of fine art classes every week. You can find out more on her website - rachaelelwell.com.
