Workshop for children aged 6–12.
Create your own animated mini movie using colourful plasticine characters and simple stop-motion techniques.
Inspired by the handmade charm of Little Amélie, the workshop introduces animation in a fun, supportive environment. It begins with a quick test animation to explore how movement works on screen. Participants then plan a simple 15-second sequence, decorate a background board and sculpt a character with moving elements. Guided step by step, everyone animates their scene using tablets, learning how tiny changes create the illusion of life.
The workshop celebrates creativity, problem solving and experimentation, showing that animation does not need to be perfect to be magical. Each participant leaves with new skills, their handmade model and a digital clip of their animation to share at home.
Participants should attend with an adult or older sibling aged 12+. No prior experience needed. All materials and equipment are provided, including plasticine, background boards and tablets.
Participants may bring a small box to transport their characters home.
Places are limited, so book early
