'Fight for the soul of Labour and the salvation of the miners': The General Strike of 1926

Join us to hear about the 100th anniversary of the General Strike. Our lecture will be given by Professor Keith Laybourn (York St John University), the doyen of British labour history.

 

Hear about the conflict between the government and the Trade Union Congress for control of food and transport and the eventual surrender of the TUC which had a lasting impact on the British labour movement.
