The third instalment of David Gedge’s memoir

Out, via Scopitones Books, on 7 August 2026

What Have I Said Now? the third volume of David Gedge’s official autobiography, will be released by Scopitones on 7 August 2026.

Some of the stories featured in this stunning 176-page, matt-laminated, hardback book have previously only been available to readers of the Tales From The Wedding Present comic book series. This new collected edition comes with over 137 pages of never-before-seen additional material and an introduction by Will Potter.

David writes the Tales From The Wedding Present narrative, together with long-time musical associate Terry de Castro, and then the stories are illustrated by virtuoso artist Lee Thacker.

What Have I Said Now? is presented in chronological order; it charts the inexorable rise of The Wedding Present as they sign to RCA Records, release the hit albums Bizarro and Seamonsters, tour North America, appear on Top Of The Pops and meet people as diverse as Steve Albini and Status Quo. On the way, we also learn about some of the romantic experiences that may have informed David’s writing.

What Have I Said Now? will be launched at the At The Edge Of The Sea festival in Brighton on 7 August. This will be followed by a Tales From The Wedding Present concert tour of seated venues in Great Britain, which will also feature Darren Hayman (Hefner).
