Wainsgate Dances

Wainsgate Dances is an artist-led and run dance program situated in Wainsgate Chapel up on the hill in Old Town just outside Hebden Bridge.

In a recent Guardian article, we were described as "a wellspring of dance", and we’re becoming well known for our work, which is simultaneously international, experimental and local, and provides excellent and thought-provoking encounters with dance for everyone, in a warm and welcoming environment.

Wainsgate Chapel is a unique and magical venue in a rural setting, and Wainsgate Dances programme is now being recognised to be a go to venue that people seek out from near and far.

The programme includes Open Practice - daily morning dance sessions to an eclectic playlist of tunes; performances by internationally respected performers; Workshops for a wide range of people of all ages; Artist residencies and much more.
