For our February meeting we are excited to be joined by Ayesha Gavin for a session on The Deaf Experience.
Did you know that 1 in 6 of the UK are affected by some degree of hearing loss? Wouldn't the world be a better place if we could understand their experiences better and learn to communicate more effectively too?
Ayesha is the founder and director of Ayesha Communications and holds a BA Honours degree, a PGCE and Level 6 NVQ in BSL. Ayesha teaches level 2, level 3 and level 6 BSL as well as delivering deaf awareness and deafblind awareness courses, CPD workshops and some work with families of Deaf children. She is also responsible for BSL/modified BSL interpreting, and BSL/English translation.
