Haytime 2026 at High Hirst Woodmeadow

Join Hebden Royd Town Council at High Hirst Woodmeadow for Haytime 2026!

The site will undergo it's annual mow with participants needed for mowing with scythes, raking the resultant hay and hay bailing all being tasks available for volunteers to get involved in.

No experience is necessary as The Council's Local Environment Officer will be on hand to give tool talks with health and safety briefings.

The dates for Haytime are as follows:

International Meadows Day - Saturday 4th July 10 am to 2 pm

Week 1 - Sunday 5th July, Monday 6th,  10 am to 2 pm

Week 2 - Saturday 11th , Sunday 12th, Monday 13th, 10 am to 2 pm

Week 3 - Saturday 18th Sunday 19th, Monday 20th, 10 am to 2 pm

Week 4 - Saturday 25th with the Haytime Tea on Sunday 26th July from 2 pm
