evening talk presented by Hebden bridge lit and sci. the Insect Crisis  talk by Prof Anthony Dr. Arak will separate fact from fear, presenting the latest scientific evidence on the fate of our insect world. He’ll ask the questions many of us already wonder about:

  •  Where have all the butterflies gone?
  •  Why are there so few flies “splatted” on our car windscreens compared with 15 years ago?
  •  Is pesticide use destroying our bee populations?
  •  What is causing this collapse of the insect world — and why does it matter so much to us?
