Sense and Sensibility follows two sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, as they tackle love, loss and financial uncertainty amid the societal expectations of 18th-century England.
Following her BAFTA-nominated debut Blue Jean, director Georgia Oakley turns her attention to the drawing room, working from a screenplay by bestselling novelist Diana Reid. Georgia previously joined us at the Hebden Bridge Film Festival for a Q&A following a screening of Blue Jean, so we’re delighted to welcome her latest film to the Picture House.
Sense and Sensibility arrives at Hebden Bridge Picture House on 25 September 2026.
