Last year NFWI passed a resolution calling for “Clean Rivers for People and Wildlife.” With the River Calder on our doorstep being cited as the 2nd most polluted river in England, we were happy to support this important resolution. Since then, we've taken part in Balsam Clearing at Hardcastle Craggs with Slow the Flow, our Climate Ambassador has qualified with The Rivers Trust to become a Riverfly Monitor, and we've taken part in local river quality observations as part of a national scheme.
In March, we are happy to welcome the Calder Rivers Trust to speak on our local river and the work of our local Rivers Trust.
