Buy less, swap more!
Swap in your unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories for new (to you) items at Hebden Bridge Town Hall from 11am - 3pm on Saturday 12th July.
Come and join our growing community of people committed to breaking the fast fashion cycle: the world’s second most polluting industry.
Find out how it works and book on via Eventbrite:

Please pre-book an arrival slot via Eventbrite:
How it works:
1- ITEMS: Dig through your wardrobes and sort out your unwanted wears (must still be in good condition) - you can bring up to 15 items to the swap.
2 - BOOKING: Book a time slot to attend the swap via Eventbrite. You can arrive within the hour time slot to donate your items and stay as long as you like.
'Quiet Hour' is 11am - 12pm. This time slot has reduced ticket numbers, no music, and is intended for people with accessibility needs or sensory issues so they can enjoy the event in a less busy environment.
(The final hour 2 - 3pm is unticketed - just turn up on the day)
3 - DONATING: When you book your ticket, you can choose to donate via Eventbrite, or donate by cash or card on arrival. (Suggested donation of £3)
4 - SWAPPING: On arrival your unwanted items will be counted and you will be able to take home as many items as you bring for free. After that, extra items will cost £2 each – all profits going towards our fundraiser for Healthy Minds, Calderdale's local mental health charity:
http://www.healthymindscalderdale.co.uk/about-us.html
Important info:
ITEM CONDITION: We have had problems in the past with people using the event to dump too many items not in good condition, which we have then had to deal with after the event. The clothes you donate should be ones you'd happily give to a friend or buy yourself in a charity shop!
ITEM LIMIT: To prevent the swap becoming swamped, we implement a 15 item limit on clothes brought to swap (this is something that other clothes exchange events implement too, so we are following their example)
KIDS CLOTHES: There will be a small section for children's clothes. Every person who attends, including children / babies will have a 15 item limit of clothes they can bring.
DONATIONS: We recognise that sustainable clothes shopping isn’t cheap and we want to deal with this issue of accessibility by providing an affordable space for clothes to be reused and given new life. There is a suggested donation of £3 on entry, or give what you can. Donations help us cover our running costs (e.g. venue hire, equipment) and then all profit made is donated to local mental health charity Healthy Minds
INCLUSIVITY: We welcome ALL sizes of clothing, and encourage all genders of people to attend. We especially encourage you to bring masc / men's clothing (as we often dont get a lot of these items). We are an LGBTQIA+ led organisation and seek to provide an environment for everyone to share the joy of our clothes swap events no matter their gender, sex, size or cultural background.
ACCESSIBILITY:
The venue is fully accessible, and we aim to make the layout of the space as easy to move around as possible for everyone.
There is a disabled toilet, a cafe onsite and there is seating around the venue both inside and outside.
If you have mobility or sensory needs and prefer a less busy environment - please book for 'Quiet Hour' (11am - 12pm) which will have limited numbers of people and no music playing.
If you would like further accessibility information about the venue please get in touch with the Town Hall:
