Festive Themes Beginners Fused Glass Workshop (with extra sparkle!) – £80 per person.
Workshop Date – Sunday 16th November – 10.30am – 4pm
In the Festive Beginner’s Fused Glass workshop you can create Christmas themed glass work, or you can choose to keep your glass creations up all year round. To add to the festivities, the workshop will include mince pies, sweet treats and mulled wine. As always there will be cups if tea a’plenty, real coffee and herbal teas. Please bring a packed lunch to the class.
In the workshop you will learn how to score and cut glass to make a hanging star, you will also create a coaster and a slump dish, free-standing arch or panel, plus you will make a set of dichroic glass jewellery combining two pieces of jewellery – pendant, brooch, keyring, ring, earrings, cuff links, you decide. You will hand-decoupage a jewellery box to keep your beautiful sparkly jewels in! There will also be the option to create dichroic Christmas decorations, rather than jewellery.
This workshop is ideal for those who fancy a relaxing and peaceful day of creativity. It is a fantastic workshop experience, which allows participants to be introduced to the wonderful world of glass fusing. The techniques used are easy to pick up and you will create a range of beautiful glass items that can be treasured or given away as special gifts.
In the studio you will have access to an exciting range of top quality materials and equipment; coloured frit powders, bubble powder, metals for entrapment, jewels, stringers, dichroic glass, stencils and much more!
I offer these workshops to individuals and private groups, they are designed for art and craft lovers, beginners or experienced crafters, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out. The workshops have proved popular with mothers and daughters, couples, families and friends who wish to spend some quality creative time together. Lots of participants come on their own and enjoying meeting friendly, new people. I host hen dos, crafty parties, retirement parties and family and friend gatherings.
The workshops are run from the light and airy Crafts in the Valley studio in Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd, the neighbouring town to Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley.
