A richly illustrated talk with Sue Lawty, taking you on a journey through the Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan: The Land of the Thunder Dragon.

Locked in the foothills of the mighty Himalaya, Bhutan's stunning landscapes, colourful festivals and handwoven, highly patterned textiles make this an extremely exciting and stimulating country to travel through.

Leading treks and cultural trips across the region since 1995, Sue Lawty draws upon her varied experiences and extensive visual archives to bring you this in-person sumptuous presentation. Textiles and artefacts will be on hand for your perusal - a few items will be for sale.

This is a benefit event for the charity MAP: Medical Aid for Palestinians. MAP works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
